The parish choir provides music for the two sung Ordinary Form Masses each Sunday (11am main choir; 6pm cantors), in addition to a Schola Gregoriana who sing at the Missa Cantata in the Tridentine rite on the first Sunday of the month (3pm). The parish choir also sing vespers on some of the weekday evenings throughout the year, and join with neighbouring parishes to provide sung Masses at the Cathedral during the summer recess.
Masses in the parish include the sung plainchant Propers of the day, a choral or congregational Mass Ordinary, a motet, an organ voluntary, and, additionally a congregational hymn at the Offertory and/or end of the Mass.
Rehearsals are Wednesdays (7pm – 8pm) and 45 minutes before each Mass. Additional members are always welcome. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
